Cornerstone Ranch - Impacting Special Needs Adults

For my mission, I have chosen Cornerstone Ranch which is a residential living community for adults with special needs.

I have 2 family members that have development disabilities that are so very special to me. My sister-in-law is 55 years old, lives in Iowa and has been blessed to have been living in a similar residential community for the last 20 years. I have seen her transform in to an independent woman as she lived, worked, played and prayed with others special need adults. I also have a nephew, Brock, who is 11 years old who makes my heart soften and smile every time I am with him. It is time for his parents to start considering where he will live once he turns 18. He needs to experience the independence that we all desire when we are ready to be on our own.

The statistics are daunting, and they increase annually as the special needs population increases and ages, resulting in increasing need for residential housing. Cornerstone Ranch is a 10,000-square-foot ranch home located on 42 peaceful acres just outside McKinney, Texas and the home comfortably accommodates six adults, however they have a vision for expansion that requires our help through donations, awareness and even to lending a helping hand with duties around the property.

On April 27th, Cornerstone Ranch is hosting a movie night to allow community members to take a tour and meet some of these incredible residents and staff. See here for more information:
